Best Broccoli Salad Recipe EVER!!!! Seriously! lol!

Even if you aren't a fan of the little green trees, ya gotta try this just once!

This recipe is a bit "fun" because of the fact, the ingredients are up to "taste", meaning, people who are NOT a fan of Mayo, will want less of it and people who are, will want it more creamy.  My personal preference is enough to add flavor, give a mild coating but, not so much that its bathing in the stuff!! lol!  AND you have to adjust the ingredients, based on the amount of people who will be partaking... if you average out, 2 heaping Salad Serving spoons OR 3 Tbsp NOT HEAPING per person (is a serving), you should be okay, unless you get an instant fan who has never had it before lol!! ♥

Best Broccoli Salad
INGREDIENTS:
3 Regular Sized Broccoli (bundles)
3 Tbsp Helman's Mayo made with Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Astro Plain Unsweetened Yogurt
10 Slices of Bacon (your choice pork/chicken/turkey)
2 oz Woolwich Goat Cheddar Cheese (white in color)
Lawry's 1 Tbsp Seasonal Salt
1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Agave Nectar (Organic)
1 Tbsp Grapeseed Oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

Start early in the day if you plan on having this for an evening meal, it will give the time for the seasonings etc... to enhance the broccoli and, kids WILL eat this dish!!

Mix the yogurt and mayo into a bowl, now add the Garlic Powder & the seasonal Salt and and let stand.

This Next Step is the Make or Break to your recipe....

Wash and trim the broccoli keeping a few inches of the stalks on the crowns, cut off the florets and "peel" the outer skin off the florets, as well as the stock.  You should have a lighter color, soft and juicy part with the florets in your bowl.  Continue this process until everything has had the outer "skin" removed.  Also make sure the pieces are a comfortable bite size.

Cook the bacon until crispy, let stand on a paper towel layered over and below to absorb as much of the oils/fats as possible.

While the bacon is sitting, grate the Cheddar Cheese over the Broccoli.

Wash your hands and crumble the bacon over this mixture.

Add the Grapeseed oil to the Broccoli, Bacon, Cheddar and spoon in the Yogurt, Mayo, Seasonings Mixture and stir until well mixed.

*DO NOT cover with Aluminum Tinfoil, it will react with the broccoli*

3 TBSP IS A SERVING APPROX. CALORIES ARE 175-200
