I read that statement yesterday on a status update on FB... "Today is a New Day and a New Start".
When it think about it, it only takes a second to change your mind, a second to put it into action, a second to make a plan of action... so what goes wrong, what stops people from carrying it all out?
ONE NEGATIVE THOUGHT/ACTION.
Yep, that's it.
Its like the science that says it takes 4 Positive Statements to undo just ONE negative one. If you check around the internet though, some take it takes 5 positive statements to undo that one negative one, others say it takes TEN positive statements to undo or counteract one negative statement. I guess we could say, the MINIMUM amount of positive statements needed to undo just one negative one, would be 4 powerful ones.
If you stop and think about that for a second... its almost like the ONE negative statement has more power, it pulls a person down further than a positive one can life up... and its easier to go with the negative flow, than to fight against it... interesting.
So this morning, I woke up, just a "twinge" of the last two days still affecting me and I said... so what... I feel good enough to hit the cardio workout hard! And I did.
I did the Treadmill, then the Elliptical and back to the Treadmill, on differing programs, levels of intensity etc... to the tune of over 460 Calories Burned and almost 4 miles behind me. Love it!!
There is such a feeling of accomplishment, its a self competing nature, to better myself than the workouts from last week.
I also found some more rubbermaid containers with exercise clothing, yes it fits!!!!! which is GREAT!!! and a couple pairs of jeans, to work towards lol! And some of my exercise bands and tubing, more challenges! lol!
A New Day, a New Journey, it starts with one foot, one step in the RIGHT direction, then just keep going!!! If you have a minor set back, its NOT the end of everything you have done, even if you only just started the day before, its a hurtle, its a step to climb up and over, get to the other side and keep on going!!!
They say the mind is a powerful thing and that we do not use it to its full potential or capacity... aim high, reach high but, start with one good solid grip of a mindset towards change... if you aren't sure where to start...
The Family Doctor is always a good place, get their input on your current health situation, go to FREE Nutrition Seminars that are usually held at the YMCA, check out the internet for advice and SIFT IT!
