One of the Simplest, Tastiest Veggie Side Dishes EVER!!!!!

This is one of THE most tastiest ways I know to serve Asparagus, it only takes a few minutes of prep and they are baked, so there is no muss, no fuss with it... easier than steaming to me lol!

Enjoy!!

BAKED ROSEMARY & BACON ASPARAGUS

INGREDIENTS:
5-6 Spears of Fresh Asparagus Per Person/Serving
1 Slice of Bacon (Turkey/Chicken or Pork) Per Person/Serving
1 Sprig of Fresh Rosemary Per Person/Serving

METHOD:
Heat the oven to 350F.

Wash, trim and separate the Asparagus into servings of 5-6 Spears per person.

Place a Sprig of Fresh Rosemary in the midst of the Asparagus Serving.

Now Wrap that serving in one slice of Bacon of your choice and place a Toothpick in it to hold it in place.

Place the wrapped servings into a Non-Stick, Covered pot, like a Correlle Dish with a drop of water in the bottom (about 2 Tbsp).

Cover and Bake for approx. 25 Minutes or until Tender but, still Crisp!!! *NO MUSHY VEGGIES!!*

The cooking time will depend on how many servings you are making and the size of your dish.  The deeper the layers, the more time to cook them, so adjust accordingly AND when you test to see if they are done, test both top and bottom layers.

The Bacon will NOT get crisp, it will remain "raw" looking, so my best advice, don't eat it, toss it, you only wanted the flavor OR you can keep it for breakfast the next day LOL!!  Also pitch the Rosemary after cooking.  Its the flavor from these two ingredients that you want, not the food values.

Honestly, the Pork Bacon tastes the best in this dish.

YOU can figure the Calories on this one lol!! Its not much over a serving of Asparagus because you are NOT going to eat the bacon with it.  :o)

Have a great weekend!!! ♥
