So sorry I have not had time to blog this past week. As many who know me, we have been deep into Renovations for the past year, and we are currently in the "home stretch" on two major projects.
One was the Master Bedroom, which should be fully completed AND us back in it by next weekend.
The other and the one with the BIGGEST IMPACT, has been the Kitchen.
My refrigerator has been out in the Garage, as well as the stove and the dishwasher. This has created a ripple effect.
We have not been eating our veggies like we usually do, largely in part to having to use a BBQ to cook on every night. I also have not been able to squeeze in any workout time this week, so there will be NO weight-loss on the scale come this Tuesday.
I don't like it, but, I can accept it and not get my panties in a wad, so to say because I can do a "cause and effect".
Yesterday for example...
I was at 3 different lighting stores trying to get/find the lights I can envision in the Bedroom, finally found a place that could modify what I wanted. This after dropping into the Custom Door location to have two doors made to modify a cabinet for the New Over the Stove Microwave. Not to mention, first thing in the morning, banking, ordering tiles for the kitchen back-splash, and some general running around from Walmart to the Grocery Store.
So when lunch time hit, my daughter and I were famished!!!
We went to a local Chinese food place that we love and ordered portion sizes, dinner for 2. Lemon Chicken, Spring Rolls (1 Each), Beef, Broccoli & Snowpea Stir-fry, and Chicken Fried Rice.... it was GREAT but, I was STUFFED until about 9pm last night! lol!! which then created another problem... I ate too late and it was leftovers from the other day. A small snack, like some cherries, which I also had would have been fine that time of night but, I was looking for DINNER! lol!!
So this week is a total complete BUST!
I can't wait for the renos to be done, get back on track, working out, eating the way I WANT and seeing the numbers go down on the scale and the clothes getting looser!
The good news is I am NOT gaining or finding any of that lost weight! And I don't plan on it either!
I am sharing this with you as a source of encouragement, that if you find yourself in situations like this, don't throw in the towel!! This is TEMPORARY! and once you get on the other side of it, get going again! It will probably shock your body as well which is a PLUS all the way! It "can" get accustom to the workout, the diet etc... now, my diet has NOT been bad, its just NOT what we would "optimally" choose to eat.
So don't get discouraged and start eating garbage, monitor, maintain and wait for the storm to pass, cause it does have an end in sight lol!!
