Monday 14th March 2011 was that date.
I have a degree in Wholistic Nutrition and a background in fitness, including Personal Training that I have used in a previous business... now its time for ME. The kids are almost grown, two living at home, and one grandbaby with one on the way... I decided its MY time.
If you have reached "that point" in your life where, you are sick of the FAT clothes, sick of STRETCHIES and you are NOT working out in them lol!! Or being winded from walking up a small hill, stairs etc... well that was/is me. I weighed 118 pounds soaking wet till I was about 33-34, then it went to pot, literally!! And I reached that point that I am NO longer willing to settle, no longer willing to say, what will be will be... I want ME that is on the inside, that slim, healthy version of ME, back on the outside!
I have the tools and the determination and am accountable to ME.
Most people fail on DIEts for a number of reasons:
1) They are accountable to someone/something else
2) Goals are not realistic
3) Improper Tools/Lack of Knowledge/Education
4) It has to be a LIFESTYLE change Diets DON'T work!
And that's it! You starve yourself to look good, you start looking good, people pat you on the back telling you how great you look and then! the "I HAVE ARRIVED" attitude kicks in and viola! you forget that you are a FOOD-AHOLIC! lol!! And from my experience in business with such, these people not only gain what they lost, they gain MORE than they lost or started out at.
Being accountable to someone or something like a friend you walk with, sets you up for failure... what if the friend can't walk with you for any length of time? Done!
And lastly... How many calories should I eat? To weigh or not to weigh my food? Fat? Carbs? what do I eat!!? Can I walk off the weight? I don't want to bulk up so do I avoid weights?
On to the journey!!! lol!
I hope to post pictures, recipes and be able to answer general questions, I AM NOT A DOCTOR, so please do not ask me medical related questions... comments are encouraged and welcomed.
